* My former intern Barton Lorimor proudly posted a Facebook photo today of his supremely cute baby daughter, Robin…
* An all-in-fun flame war instantly ignited…
* The Question: Is Baby Robin happy to be clothed in Cub garb, or is she wanting a different team’s jumper?
…Adding… Barton’s Twitter react…
And then there are days a @capitolfax tell-all book looks more likely. #twill #itsON #cubs #rockinrobin

Barton is great - if anyone can reverse the curse, he can, one good karma baby at a time. Congrats!

She looks pretty happy to me, so cute in Cubby blue!

She needs a “Team CapFax” onesie

“Losing, is a disease, as contagious as the bubonic plague…attacking one, but infecting all…but curable.
Now Barton, rock Robin, gently rock her…now Barton, I want you to imagine you and Robin are on a ship at sea, gently rocking…on a vast sea…gently rocking…”
Robin looks great. Period. She looks happy and comfortable…just prepare her…for gloom.

(You mean that DOESN’T merit a call to DCFS?!?)
Congratulations and best wishes for everyone

Her face is adorable but her expression definitely says she thinks she should not be forced to wear that Cubs attire. That is almost child abuse!

Notice that the red hair has made its debut.
What a cute kid. Too bad she’s being punished this early in life.
lol

You said it, Rich.
Red hair IS punishment

Count me in on buying an advance copy of the CapFax tell all book.

Being a Cubs fan, it builds character. Patience is a virtue.

I’d pay big money for that tell-all book!
Baby Robin is very cute, I don’t think she minds the Cubs gear. She’s just happy to be almost as tall as her dad already.

Beautiful baby Barton. At this age, most outfits get “spit up on and puked on” several times a day. Understanding that, she’s appropriately clad.

Just don’t name Ronnie Woo Woo as the godfather.

This is how the misery is passed along to the next generation, before she even knows she has a choice. Cardinal red would look good with the hair.
Comment by Ray del Camino Wednesday, Jul 2, 14 @ 2:11 pm
Congrats, she is pooping in it.

Cute kid Barton. And a tremendous wardrobe choice.

Cubs and cute babies do go together.
Comment by walker Wednesday, Jul 2, 14 @ 2:21 pm
Walk, do you mean Cubs and “cry babies” go together? lol.

It’s now a proven fact. The Cubs are bad for your health: http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/breaking/chi-100yearold-cubs-fan-dies-less-than-three-weeks-after-wrigley-field-visit-20140702,0,4391787.story
Take that hideous jumper off the poor child!
Comment by Rich Miller Wednesday, Jul 2, 14 @ 2:54 pm
Robin’s happy to be in Cubbie blue, as it contrasts better with the hair from “Uncle” Oscar than white or red does.
Comment by Anyone Remember Wednesday, Jul 2, 14 @ 3:01 pm
Not only does she look stunning in Cubbie blue, if she was inserted in the lineup the team’s on-base percentage might go up a smidge, a la Eddie Gaedel.
Comment by Six Degrees of Separation Wednesday, Jul 2, 14 @ 3:47 pm
When my son came home one day singing Take Me Out to the Ballgame…root root root for the Cubbies, I screamed, noooooooo, not another generation…it’s just not fair. He’s now a Sox fan (though one that doesn’t hate the Cubs, just like I don’t hate the White Sox).

Oh, and yes, cute kid and sign me up for the tell all book!

Baby thoughts: “why do old people smile at me and shake their heads when I wear this outfit?”
Comment by Arthur Andersen Wednesday, Jul 2, 14 @ 3:56 pm
As a Cubs (and Red Sox) fan, I think baby Robin looks fine …

Congrats Lorimor Family—she’s adorable!
Babies are pawns for the parent’s taste in clothing whether sports teams or outrageous colors.
Comment by Belle Wednesday, Jul 2, 14 @ 5:59 pm
Having had four myself, I consider myself an expert in detecting happiness in babies, and that little one is genuinely happy. No gassy smile there. Go Cubs.
Comment by Commander Norton Wednesday, Jul 2, 14 @ 6:51 pm
Clearly she is Happy “to be clothed in Cub garb ” and it is obvious she is Thinking ” Let’s Play Two “.
Comment by x ace Wednesday, Jul 2, 14 @ 8:33 pm
The Cubs swept Boston at Fenway. I am crediting Robin.
