* This pic was sent to me by the Quinn campaign. It features a man holding a Bruce Rauner sign standing in front of a pile of Illinois State Fair manure. I don’t know whether this was staged or not, but they claim it’s a Rauner supporter..
Heh.
Try very, very hard to keep your comments clean. I know it won’t be easy, but try. Thanks.
…Adding… This is obviously no Rauner supporter. I didn’t look at the sign closely enough, but it has an anti-Rauner message, which certainly gives the caption a different potential twist.

Beat the heat with a tax cheat, if it is a Rauner supporter it would appear to be one they duped…

Bruce Rauner’s Campaign is shows adding a ‘lil love’ will do to a boring story…
BTW, the “sign” really doesn’t have a “pro Rauner” message, so if it is a supporter…yikes.

Politics is like fertilizer. Sometimes you’ve got to dig into and spread some (manure), to get the best results in the end.

Methinks the Quinn campaign is dispensing some manure with this statement.

This sign only scratches the surface of the long list of questions about Rauner’s business dealings and taxes.
When voters see the long list- nursing home abuses, tax dodges, wage and hour law violations, pay to play with Stu Levine and Ed Rendell- Rauner is bi-partisan when it comes to making money- and who knows what else,he’ll be toast

Quinn should use some of that manure to light a fire under his Ag Dept. to line up some corporate sponsors for the fair.
The anemic sponsorship lineup grinds my gears every year. How is it possible that there isn’t a soft drink sponsor? Or McDonalds? Or WGN? Or a Walgreens Health and Wellness Fair?
How about the world’s largest agricultural commodities futures exchange, beneficiaries of a huge, special tax break at the height of the recession?
How about the enormous Illinois farm implement manufacturer, named after the Illinois dude who invented the self-scouring plow! It’s sick that Deere and CME aren’t sponsors.
How about all the corporate welfare mooches with their hands out for grants and EDGE credits all the time? You could go on and on. Put it an effort and sign them up.
Here are links to the Illinois State Fair sponsors and the Wisconsin State Fair sponsors. Read ‘em and weep. Somebody’s not hustling, somebody is. It’s pathetic.
