  1. Hey…I got a question…Does that ad flashing on this site with the cute little girl in the spelling bee that flashes the text “protect our children’s future, clean up dirty power plants” mean we shouldn’t be investing in our latest savior, ethanol?

Or are ‘pollutionless refineries’ just another one of ethanol’s miracle advantages over dirty, expensive Arab oil?

Someone set me straight on this, please. Right now I’m getting conflicting marketing messages, and that ad is confusing me.

  3. Blago blew off attending the World Trotting Derby and awarding the cup in DuQuoin this past weekend, the first time a governor has EVER not attended this event. Was it because he remembered getting booed there last year?

  4. Leroy: The flashing ad is intended to generate support for pollution controls on electricity generating plants that burn coal. These plants are the number one source of mercury in the air in Illinois (and eventually into the Great Lakes). the controls are affordable and required in other states. Click on the ad — it will fill you in.
