Question of the day

Posted in:

* A couple of friends of mine are getting married soon and they’re having a little pre-party celebration in Vegas this weekend. I’ll be heading there soon, so you don’t have much time to comment, unfortunately.

* The Question: Your favorite Las Vegas activity?

Keep it clean, people.

  19. They do have a few In N Out Burgers there.

  21. Used to be the shows, where where you sat depended on how much folding stuff you slipped to the host. Now all tickets are sold for something approaching a mortgage payment. So, I reckon it’s people watching, either poolside or near check-in/check-out, Turn the sound on and you hear some really good family exchanges…

  25. You have to go to the Bellagio…the ceiling of the entry room is by Chihuly and it is dtunning…watching the light and water show in the front of the hotel is great…the conservatory is nice and all the restaurants, especially the buffet , are super. And the pools are unbelievable… You really don’t need anything else in the town, except maybe a fatboy burger.

  32. Pinball Hall of Fame on Tropicana. 150 working pinball machines. Cheap, more fun than a slot machine, and all the money goes to charity. http://www.pinballmuseum.org/

  33. > Skip the casinos.
    > Go climb Red Rocks west of town.
    > Go to Little A’Le’Inn in Rachel and revel in UFO world. As you return, watch for the lone mail box about 5 miles out. Turn right and head toward Area 51, the security car on the hill, and the signs to stay out. Just different.
    > Go to Roberto’s - fast food Mexican that is just great
    > Hoover Dam - You just have to.
    > Do serious desert driving and hit the south side of Grand Canyon.

  35. Not a fan of franchise or chain places but when I walked by Margaritaville I noticed they didn’t have any slot machines in the place. A rarity (ding ding) because they are everywhere (ding ding). That noise (ding ding) drives me (ding ding) crazy. Found a seat outside on their 2nd floor balcony overlooking the strip. Unbelievable how the peace and quite from the (ding ding) can be so nice.
