The Kass/Kohn show has a tweet that they have Sam Adams Jr. on the show and wonder if he will run for states attorney.
Wow, that’s some real timely and compelling radio.

Anyone have the bill number for the satellite tax? That has to be the worst web site I have ever seen, it has no information on it about the bill, Click on the act now button and it has nothing !

Every time someone claims that “X adds Y dollars to the economy,” just divide Y by ten to get a better estimate.

After reading the Illinois Observer poll showing a vast majority of Republicans don’t want to provide healthcare for other Americans, once again I’m glad and proud that I’m not a Republican.
I know Republicans who had no qualms whatsoever about taking public healthcare for themselves and having others pay for it, but they don’t want to help pay for healthcare for others.

Downstate Greg, the opposition ad is targeted at the concept of a satellite TV tax, which could be amended onto any number of bills that have met the constitutional reading requirements. Welcome to the Illinois legislative process.

Quinn on Rauner hiring freeze ask: already directed cabinet to manage agencies responsibly, ensure basic operations of the state continue ===
Translation: Quinn to Rauner, stick it in your ear. I still have a couple of months left and I’m not doing you any favors.

Transportation engineers agree almost universally around he world that proper and safe speed limits are set at the 85th percentile speed under good conditions. On Illiniois Tollways the 85th percentile speed is 70 mph or higher everywhere according the Tollway’s studies as well as those I have conducted with a fellow activist.
In addition, raising limits rarely changes actual travel speeds. This has been proven over and over, including in our own area a few years back. When the south leg of I-355 had its limit increased from 55 to 65, the actual speeds only moved by about 1-2 mph (according to Tollway officials).
There rea$on limit$ are $o low is clear to mo$t ob$erver$. Naysayers are either uneducated on the science or they are in the revenue $tream and are protecting their pocketbook$.

Blueroomstream, you need to learn that the plaintiffs represent public employees and retirees. It lazy and inaccurate to simply reference them as union.
