Did he turn State Evidence on some sort of Federal investigation? Or is this par with white collar crimes? Serve less than half and you’re good.

watch out, Tony may find the halfway house as some sort of real estate deal.

TF, Rezco wrote a letter to the judge saying the Feds were squeezing him to lie to get Blago and Obama.
That effectively made him useless as a witness in the Blago trials, for either side.

He went to jail in 2008 so he served most his time

About on schedule for this sort of conviction and sentence.

Tony, my dad, served 9 months in solitary confinement, and a total of 7.5 years in total prison time.
He sacrificed a huge portion of his life so that innocent people wouldn’t go to jail. We are so proud and thankful for him. He is honestly the greatest man I’ve ever known, and I’m so proud to call him my father

It’s time to move on from Tony Rezko. I’m not making excuses for what he did, but he was sentenced to a specific term of confinement, not to forever. He didn’t get any more time off than anyone else who was sentenced under the Federal guidelines. People should therefore remember that when he completes that sentence, he is back square with the house. To go a step further, a father who engenders the kind of love and respect from a child as was expressed here, under very difficult circumstances, must have done something right. Perhaps most importantly, a child who continues to love and respect his/her father under such difficult circumstances deserves our applause and respect.

Rez and South Side Markie - I stand corrected and I apologize for my insensitive remarks.

Triple Fat: I’m sorry if my comments seemed directed to you. They aren’t directed at anyone in particular. However, I also have a lot of respect for some who does a stand-up thing like making an apology. Kudos to you too!

Triple Fat: No problem. Media doesn’t always show both sides of the story. I would feel the same way in your shoes.
And thank you Southside Markie, that really means a lot.
