Mason born — I do realize that, but he isn’t out there every day spending like the tax increase has already happened, or criticizing others who are trying to balance the budget without it.

The only person spending money like the tax increase has already happened is Bruce Rauner. He signed the K-12 approp bill, went to court with taxpayer money to make sure state employees got paid, found $26 million last spring to shore up a couple programs….

He isn’t trying to balance the budget without a tax hike. That is my point Rauner needs the hike because he doesn’t have intestinal fortitide to attempt to balance the budget without it. Therefor his criticism of everyone else doing what he himself will do is the height of hypocrisy.
