Interesting song for today. Decca records corrupted the title by adding a comma making it “Paint it, black” instead of “Paint it black” which almost changes the meaning.

Maybe then I’ll fade away and not have to face the facts
It’s not easy facin up when your whole world is black
I look inside myself and see my heart is black
No colors anymore I want them to turn black
I wanna see the sun, blotted out from the sky
Nailed it.
Anybody on fl 2 has the guts to show Rauner these lyrics?

Maybe someone else will appreciate this: Morrissey covering Waylon Jennings’ “Are You Sure Hank Done It This Way”. https://youtu.be/g1KKhZ80GDQ

I think Rauner would simply think, well I want to paint the budget black, and not get a greater meaning.

My goodness, takes me back more than 50 years. Listening to old Stones makes my mind wander away from the troubles of today. I was young then.
