For some reason, I can’t help but notice the girl in the background, texting with the same hand that she is holding a cup of coffee. #millenials #powertothepeople

It’s interesting to note that it appears the Senate Dems are most eager to meet these students and pose for pics. Maybe that’s because they’ve already passed a MAP bill.
Psst: somebody tell the students to go find their reps. You’re wasting time by preaching to the choir in the Senate.

It’s nice to know that the Rs and Ds in the GA can act together on something important: the appointment of a new AG.
A telling stat: In the House, there were 10 “No” votes on Mautino for AG. By my count, 7 were seated in Jan 2015, 1 each in July 2014, Jan 2013, and Jan 2011 (all Rs). My guess is that they are mostly folks who don’t know Mautino and did not bother to ask their colleagues.

Congrats to Frank! I’m sure you will follow Bill Holland’s example of integrity and dedication to the State of Illinois.
