Bowie was so clever.

Losing Bowie and Alan Rickman in one week is a real kicker. Two incredibly talented Brits.

Hey man…
I still have the Ziggy Stardust album.

Blasted Ziggy Stardust when I heard the news, oh boy. Timeless record.
But “Life On Mars” is probably my favorite piece, with lyrics appropriate for the current state of Illinois government:
Sailors fighting in the dance hall
Oh man look at those cavemen go
It’s the freakiest show…

Archiesmom - not to mention Lemmy right before the new year. Another incredibly talented brit. It’s been a rough two weeks.

Bowie was musical crap, overrated popular culture.

Suffragette City is one of his more rockin’ tunes, along with Panic in Detroit. When he wanted to, Bowie could rock it with the best of them.

in one concert I saw, Suffragette City was accompanied by a huge blast of lights, like Bowie, a supernova. a flash of music and light at the audience. talented musically, culturally predictive, and business savvy, David Jones gave us David Bowie, an amazing musician and man.
