Blogging has been almost nonexistent lately because of the holidays. One of the best friends I’ve ever had was in town this week, as well as my brother from California who I haven’t seen in four years (he was in Illinois last Christmas, but I was in the Middle East at the time).
Don’t expect much next week, either. I need to quit smoking (again), and it would probably be too dangerous to write anything in that state of mind.

Rich, good luck kicking the butts.

Kicking the cigs isn’t the real problem. I’ve done it several times. It’s staying off them that’s the problem. Session is not kind to bad habits.

You are such a wuss. Only person I know that quit smoking but got addicted to the patch.
Have fun with Denny Ray, seems he’s in rare form this trip. I will never, never, never make a trip to Illinois at Christmas ever again. It’s cold enough here in Texas, let along all that snow up there.
Drive safe in that Beamer on the roads.

Man, your brother is almost as brutal as mine is. I quit three years ago after a 17 year habit. Good luck not tearing your family’s heads off. And happy holidays…

I would quit the news and the bars along with the smokes. This is the perfect time. Hope you, your family have the happiest of holiday. The gift of a CapFax/CapBlog-free could be the greatest gift to many, many Illinoisans.

Doug, you’re deathly afraid of a little snow and moderate cold temperatures and you call me a wuss? I beg to differ, bubba.
Merry Christmas to all, and now I gotta get the heck outta here.
