About a month ago there was an article in Chicago Crain’s Magazine that stated that Illinois Secretary of Transportation Tim Martin was leaving. Is that still true? When?

I passed through Yorkville and Kendall County over the weekend. Seemed to me that the “Home of J. Dennis Hastert” signs already have been taken down.

Gotta love politics in Illinois. Reading the SunTime article about cuts in county government. Todd Stroger in a press release informed the different deparments 17% cuts are needed.
In a Press Release. Maybe this was always done and I just didn’t notice it but, there must be a better way of communicating with your departments.
What a joke this government is.

Senator Durbin wows the Apple -Knockers! I remember on his visit to Leo High School, when the Senator, having admired the Kelly Cup City Football Chammpionship Cups, the Catholic League Football Trophies, and Bob Foster’s talk about coaching against, Mike O’Neill, Pat Cronin, Tom Cavanagh, Gordn Gillespie, Rich Zinanni, Matt Sneffner, and Frank Lenti the thoughtful question - ‘Does Leo have a football program?’ Tru Dat!
Cobden is home to the basketball team from the 1950’s that inspired the movie Hoosiers. ‘Play Basketball around here, do you, young citizen?’

The state is finally going to pay for the Blago video game mistake, yet it will still take the comptroller’s ofice a month to cut a check?

It taking a month to cut a $500K check to pony up on a lawsuit sorta gives credence to the complaints about the delays in timely medicaid reimbursement to providers…
