There’s a typo on the sign - there’s no “s” at the end of the word “friend”, and by friend Pat means an imaginary friend, like his imaginary gubernatorial accomplishments.

The band was asked to be a house band but they can’t stay in any one gig long enough before they start thinking about another gig
