Forest- the only person you should be blaming is your old boss who spent the pension’ fully funded money so he could spend with abandon without raising taxes. That guy was Daley not Rauner so go take a hike

=the only person you should be blaming is your old boss who spent the pension’ fully funded money so he could spend with abandon without raising taxes. That guy was Daley not Rauner so go take a hike.=
Republicans had control over all three branches of Illinois government in 1995.
So, who gave Daley carte blanche to raid the pension funds?
The Republicans did this.

Did the Guv just announce a new tax on raisins?
What else did he mean when he said “raisin taxes”?

Can he just learn to pronounce the letter “G”? I’d take that as progress.

LOL. Rauner lies about presenting balanced budget and then admonishes the Dems not to go to the press and tell them the truth.

More money for MAP grants!? Thus guy can’t even pay out what the state currently owes, crippling the middle class lifeline of thousands of students in this state. Another Rauner con

You folks all are so biased that you reflect the partisan breakdown infecting the State and Country. If the Dems made any effort to accommodate even 20 percent of the Governors reform agenda the budget would have already been agreed to. Rauner is willing to go 5 on income taxes but Madigan and his cohorts just rather wait for a new Governor and let the state suffer do it helps their campaign

And not a single word about Higher Education ( other than the MAP grants that are not being paid now ).
So long EIU, Chicago State, and other Regionals not to mention my Alma Mater.

He doesn’t want to tax retirement income?
Hmmmmmmmmm.
He and his Wall Street buddies must have multimillion dollar defined benefit plans set up for themselves.

=Business owners across the country are forced to make hard decisions to manage soaring health costs.=
Business owners across the industrialized world aren’t burdened with employee health care costs because they all have single payer health care.
Why is THAT not a competitive disadvantage?

“Most Illinois families have seen their health insurance premiums skyrocket…So imagine what Illinois families think when they hear our state employees get ‘Cadillac platinum” coverage for barely more than bronze rates.”
Loosely translated:
Imagine…those greedy public workers want affordable healthcare for everyone, whereas I want affordable healthcare for NO ONE.
