Sent to a retired teacher re: Healthcare forms. Funny.
From the person — A very late notice that they messed up my “proof of health insurance” form…for taxes.

Not very surprising.

Atlanta: location of one of the U.S. offices of Morneau Shepell.

Sounds like more great work from Morneau Shepell. They are Canadians after all and probably don’t realize Illinois isn’t in Georgia.

I got a similar letter recently, and my first thought was it was a scam because of the address discrepancy.

Well, state government has definitely gone south the last two years.
But I think the Rauner model for the state is Mississippi, not Georgia.

Parts of southern Illinois are closer to Atlanta than to Chicago

I received the same thing. Looked a lot like spam. Also received it well after I had filed my taxes.

Heh, even Illinois is leaving Illinois.

Apparently they also messed up some deductions for life insurance at the beginning of the year. And they have caused a multitude of other problems as well. Another Rauner success story.

Mine arrived late also. And it came from Atlanta.

I received one as well and thought it was a scam at first - because of the Atlanta return address. I’d also already filed my taxes. Why is this not something that can be done from an Illinois company, or even, I don’t know — from the Illinois state agency that manages the program? Pathetic really.

Morneau Shepell: nothing but the best for Illinois state employees and retirees. I expect you will see much worse as Rauner continues down the path of trying to privatize parts of the state.

Morneau Shepell, a Canadian outsourcing and consulting company:

*** They are Canadians after all … ***
Does Trump know Rauner is shipping tax-payer dollars directly to a foreign country? Seriously, couldn’t he find an Illinois company to handle this if he’s really so concerned about our state’s economy?
Hello, Dem PR hacks? Hello?

They screwed up all of the teacher retirement system health coverage notices, and the phone staff were not very good about handling inquiries on it

Aon, anyone?

And they’re worried about moving jobs back from Chicago. Maybe a memo should be sent out instructing agencies to work on moving jobs back from Atlanta. lol

One state grant for “Employment First” for people with disabilities went to a corporation based in North Carolina over several in-state agencies.

Mine, too — from Georgia, arrived late, was incorrect. Does Illinois pick subcontractors who match their level of incompetence?

The SERS insurance knew policy on our healthcare, but the ATL reps were unprepared. Big hassle trying to make changes for insurance in Dec and Jan. I hope that they are learning how to do their jobs!
