  1. It still amazes me that EVERY DAY, Illinois pays $11,000,000 in interest on our debt.

  6. Rauner pushing for balanced budget. You mean the one he’s refused to submit for over 2 years? Beyond absurd.

  7. I have always appreciated the way Rich closes this blog on Friday afternoon. Granted, I don’t always recognize the group or the songs but I do listen.

A small suggestion - maybe it would be appropriate to have Rachel close things on Friday afternoons UNTIL WE GET A BUDGET.

  8. Please show me a list of all of companies coming from to Illinois in the past 15 years and all of the ones who have left and the net job loss.

Why did the companies leave or fail to expand here Mr Pritzker?

Why has our unemployment been one of the highest in the nation before and after Governor Rauner was elected?

Does not have the failure of the majority party in the legislature to propose or agree with to any economic development legislation have anything to do with our lagging economy?

  14. ===Please show me a list of all of companies coming from to Illinois in the past 15 years and all of the ones who have left and the net job loss.===

Show me that list Rauner has of all these companies beggin’ to come to Illinois.

    “No, I’ll wait, thanks… ”

===Why did the companies leave or fail to expand here Mr Pritzker?===

“Why didn’t all these companies move here or expand here while you say you are a closer, Gov. Rauner?”

    ===…after Governor Rauner was elected===

    “Bruce Rauner fails”

“Does not have the failure of the Governor, like ‘Pat Quinn failed’ in the constitutional obligation to propose a non-phony, status quo budget or agree with to any economic development legislation that could get 60 and 30 as past governors have, have anything to do with our lagging economy?”

    Better.

  15. Dearest Rich,

I remember a time (not that long ago!) when your Morning Message was a song. Will those days ever come back?

    Lynn S.
(feelin’ like we’ve lost “that lovin’ feeling”. Or is it that “budgeting feeling”?)

    Comment by Lynn S. Thursday, Apr 13, 17 @ 11:21 pm

  16. Whoa, it is one of the few times I legitimately felt bad for the legislators, having to sit through that song. Excluding Rep. Davis, ever single one of them looked to be in excruciating pain. Lol.
