  4. @AA- class is recorded or lessons are recorded and students have access before and after so that class time can be used for collaboration and project time or more indepth discussion learning.

That is the reader digest version anyway.

  5. AA - Flipped classroom is a concept where students do the “lecture” part of the lesson as homework, and then come to class the next day to do the “work” part of the lesson. The theory is that it allows more student/teacher interaction time to do the work, rather than classroom seat time being used for lecture.

The downside is that not every school can afford to integrate this type of learning, not every school can afford to provide students with technology, not every school has a student population that can view lessons outside of school, etc.

Not advocating either way, just explaining pros/cons. As a teacher for 20 years, this theory was tried in my classroom, but it only had mixed results.

  6. Kids, the right way to solve this quadratic equation is with real reforms. It’ll work out, just trust me.

  7. A flipped classroom moves homework into the classroom and classroom activities into the home. In practice it means on-line computer learning at home, and activities in the classroom.

Rauner: flipped Governorship - campaign all the time and Govern as little as possible.
