I much appreciated the comment on the terrified silence of the university presidents. Ours always says he is “caught in the middle” or wants “a seat at the table.” I have advocated jumping on top of the table and screaming at the top of his voice that what the governor (I do blame him and him alone.) has done is a criminal act against the future of the state, especially that of the poor and middle class. They have their place: it’s in the university. Back to ombre.

Is that enough votes in the Senate so Rauner cannot veto the bills?

Thank you Sen. Haine. Although you do not represent my current district I knew you many years ago before you first entered elective politics and am proud of your commitment to always do what is right. Thank you again and best wishes.

Rauner is not going to sign a catastrophe such as this.
It addresses absolutely zero for business to be in this state.
What a total waste of time and more tax payer dollars.

I am from DuPage County, a quite republican county. However, I so much want Mr. Rauner’s veto of these extensively helpful bills to be over ridden for my sake and the huge deficit in our State’s revenue making it impossible to pay for the health and the help we need here in DuPage County.
