Not surprised Rauner thinks CPS is a “patronage institution” after he tried desperately to clout his daughter into a CPS school.

Rauner was just asked about Coulter. His response was that our system is broken.

Gotta love the local controllers. They tell you what to control and how….yikes

Who dresses this guy?

Rauner goes into the SRaunerite Caucus?
What’s he gonna say?
“Remember who owns you and I don’t want any $&@#% problems”
Rauner wants schools to not open.
“Simple”
Then again Kristen McQueary says “override” so there’s that too.
Comment by Oswego Willy Sunday, Aug 13, 17 @ 2:50 pm
McCann is voting for the override(exclamation point).

Good on McCann. Now will any of the R representatives vote for the constituents, or for Rauner’s cash?
Comment by Roadiepig Sunday, Aug 13, 17 @ 3:45 pm
On to the House.

I’m surprised. Question for our experienced commenters OW and RNUG: which of the following reasons got this done:
1. The info that came out regarding the damage that the AV points would do 2. This was a carefully crafted bi-bartisan bill in the first place. 3- we have to have something in place this week or 4: our GOP legislators have finally decided to vote for their districts.

Strike number 4 - just saw there was 1 lone GOP Yes vote

Just for this vote, nothing more…
Cullerton had the votes and the cover of Rauner’s phony numbers and McQueary, as but one, saying “override” on the merits.
House?
Where o where are those 11 additional votes needed?
It’s a 1 in 4, “maybe”, to get the override.
Your other points?
Rauner agreed with 90%, so that seems pretty bipartisan fit any deal…
I have no idea on the trailer bill situation or if the Governor can even get himself to agree to anything now.
Fair?

Thank OW. I appreciate the answer. I’m also hoping Rauner starts vetting his teams research before he does any more AVs. His AV on this, if accepted, would not have been good.

There was something more important than the over ride today. Which beer did the Governor pick as the official bicentennial beer?/s
