It makes the political motivations behind term limits crystal clear.

Gov. Junk’s obsession with term limits illustrated.

The IWT graphic is good, but it would be better to show who moved to another State office like Poe. Yes they left the GA, but they didn’t leave government.

Options are wonderful.
Wasn’t Brauer appointed to IDOT moments after his resignation?

Pretty effective - moving to another office isn’t relevant to the politics.

CZ- Yes, as was Poe to the Dept. of Ag. That’s why I think the graphic would have more relevance if it showed those members that Rauner “removed”. When those seats were vacated, it made it easier for Rauner to pressure the Republicans (whom he now owned) to fill the seats with an actual or potential Raunerite.

Were you making a funny??? If you weren’t, enjoy your insulated little corner of the world.

Interesting that both Poe and now his replacement are out the door.

Poe and Brauer were both effectively pushed out. Or, incentivized to get out. Because Rauner didn’t want their brand of AFSCME/labor-friendly Republican.

Rauner wants Raunerites.
Rauner does not want Republicans or Democrats
Ask Diana Rauner, lol

Meh, Darin Lahood resigned to take a job in Washington. Now he’s a shill for trump.

No matter what the reasons, the charts illustrate we don’t need term limits. It’s a self cleaning system.

Meh, I’ll still take term limits in some form. 2 terms in house, 2 terms in senate, then try your luck on the natl level.
Plenty of opportunities to “serve” the people. It doesn’t always have to be the same exact role.

The dismissal of institutional knowledge by some here speaks to why some are confused at “process” and understanding the ways of the GA.
Now imagine if legislators don’t understand like some here don’t.
Whew.
