It is ok kids to lie to authorities. Go ahead do it multiple times. Even try to get other people to lie for you. However after you are caught admit it. We will support you. #CPS #ClaypoolLessonPlan pic.twitter.com/zoQlZJik58

Claypool: Lies in an ethics investigation.
Berrios: Rigs tax system to favor the wealthy and lawyers
Preckwinkle: Relies on regressive soda tax to solve budget crisis.
Emanuel: Fails to address police misconduct.
How are those Democrat policies working out Chicago voters?#twill— Grant Wehrli (@GrantWehrli) December 8, 2017

*** UPDATE *** Tribune…
Embattled Chicago Public Schools CEO Forrest Claypool plans to resign Friday, sources familiar with his decision said.
Sources said CPS Chief Education Officer Janice Jackson, who has long been seen as the heir apparent to the district’s top office, is expected to be named as interim CEO.

All of these examples, especially Claypool’s lying, speaks poorly for public officials. Will the public (continue to) accept this?

Congratulations to the Chicago Cubune for continuing to carry water for Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel.

Grant- I’m not sure how it’s working out but Chicago was ranked the 10th best city in the World. I guess they’re ok with that? How’s Naperville, did it break Top 5 in Dupage this year?

Why did Claypool do this? He could have gotten an exemption or taken the attorney off the case and been on solid ground. The fact that he went to such extremes (going through 7 lawyers before he got the opinion he wanted; trying to get an invoice changed) to avoid the right path raises serious questions.

Claypool seems to be imitating Rauner. Most of Rauner’s statements also are not true. Except the “I am not in control” statement. That one was true.

Great tweet by Pearson. Where does he work?

It’s not the Democratic policies, as such, that have failed Chicago. It’s the abysmal leadership since Harold Washington died.

I guess if you support charters and fight CTU the Tribsters grant you a get-out-of-jail-free card.

Looks like squirely wherli is rushin’ to fill the “void” created by Ives departure. When GOPies disagree with Katrina the other ther masters at the Tribbie Edit Board they get black marks on permanent record. Big opps.
Hey SW how a few bright thoughts about GovJunk and his crooked contract with McKinsey — that was $12.5 million that almost got away.

In Forrest’s defense, if lying was good enough for his boss (and the wedding dress to establish residency)…he thought it was good enough for him.
Comment by Jocko Friday, Dec 8, 17 @ 10:15 am
The problem isn’t that he lied. The problem is that despite an overwhelming amount of warning signs, he went right ahead and did what HE wanted to do. That is textbook narcissism and is the exact same disease that affects Rauner and Rahm. We’re right. We are so right in fact, that we couldn’t possibly do anything wrong. I’m not surprised that the Trib rose to his defense. After building that huge ego by editorializing literally dozens of times that he was going to be the savior of our political system, they go right ahead and enable their favorite child. Does anyone think for one minute that they would have come to the same conclusion if the person who did that was named Madigan or Berrios?

Name another circumstance where doctoring official documents and lying to officials investigating your actions doesn’t get you fired or worse?

To: andjsticeforall You might want to add Trump to the list of those suffering from that narcissism disease.

Why, after CPS Inspector General Schuler’s investigation showed Claypool to be “a liar and the architect of a cover-up,” does David Axelrod and Rahm Emanuel continue to defend him so strongly? It was more than a “mistake,” it was lies and a cover-up.
