Hey governor, maybe you should check in with your IDOC team.
Seems they believe there’s something of an emergency with the prisons. Might want to put that on your “to-do list.”
If it’s real. Either way, you might want to get personally involved in your work and find out what’s going on there.

Rauner’s going with the “my way or the highway” approach again I see. That worked so well for his first 3 years it is bound to be successful this time.

Rauner needs to run against Madigan.
How that helps getting Rauner out of being underwater so badly, and that trust isn’t a Rauner strong suit, where dies Rauner pivot now?

He’s just making noises that he thinks will aid his re-election effort.
It’s long been clear that he doesn’t have any interest in doing the actual job in a responsible manner.
Why he wants the gig at all is beyond my understanding. All I can think of is that the title and trappings are an ego-stroke, something he has that his rich friends can’t buy.
