* More than a grain of truth here…
The average human being is exposed to 4000+ ads a day and JB Pritzker appears in all of them

The one I don’t see.

The 15 second Pritzker ad, using Rauner’s own words, about how if he’s not effective after four years voters should throw him out.
Not a fan of the ‘rewind’ noise in the middle of it, but otherwise - devastatingly effective AND I don’t have to see JB

I second what Concerned Observer said.
To me, that’s all Pritzker needs to run.

I do like Schneider riding on the bike.

Easy.
The best ad, hands down, has been the Pritzker ad talking about his mother.
It made JB vulnerable, he looks real and raw, and telling a story and the hurt and pain is there, with resolute and love. You feel Pritzker’s emotions. It’s the best of the cycle.
A distant second is the 15 second Pritzker “Throw me out” Rauner ad, which is an “A”, but isn’t the Pritzker “mom” ad.

I like Mendoza’s soccer player add.

Have to say an MJ Hegar ad I saw in Texas about healthcare (She is the congressional candidate with the doors ad/video).
Not as many ads running in Texas but they all seem to have audio that was recorded via phone call even though the visuals are good.

Susana Mendoza’s “Tough As Nails” Ad is pretty damned good. And all positive. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7lBR7ocwbs8

The ad where the son of a deceased veteran, speaks about his dad dying at the Quincy Veteran’s Home, was very powerful. Hw lays the blame squarely where it belongs. For me as a veteran, it moved me to tears.

I’m a fan of JB’s ads running on black radio in Chicago. They’ve been strong since the primary and haven’t stopped. They’re from the POV of women and moms. Compelling, draw me in, tell a story.

Not an Illinois ad, but this one from Dean Phillips in Minnesota was pretty funny.

Seems like all I’ve seen is the DCC ad about Roskam in lockstep with Trump.
Give them credit for staying relentlessly on message.
Seems no humorous ads with a bite this season.

Definitely Steve Webb, state senate candidate in 59. It’s not slick but you know it’s real.

I received a polling call last night (Monday). I informed the person I had early voted. They told me that ‘Once you early vote, you are taken off the call lists and shouldn’t receive any more mailers” (We got the call because we voted Saturday, late afternoon). I had not known that! Talk about incentive to vote early!

The Pritzker ad about his mother. Losing parents at a young age is traumatizing. It didn’t happen to me, but my folks worked in a dangerous neighborhood and when they were late coming home I was scared. No amount of money can ever replace a loved one, especially a young parent.
Comment by Grandson of Man Tuesday, Oct 16, 18 @ 1:12 pm
I agree with NoGifts–Mendoza’s soccer player ad is the best I’ve seen.

The anti Ted Cruz stuff Richard Linklater has been doing in Texas are pretty good.

The Underwood ad about being lied to about healthcare coverage also isn’t bad.
Comment by Benniefly2 Tuesday, Oct 16, 18 @ 1:30 pm
I’ve been a fan of the Richard Linklater-directed ones for Beto (or against Ted Cruz). The guy in the ads just kills me. TED!

Rauner’s ad calling Jeanne Ives Madigan’s favorite Republican. It says everything you need to know about Rauner and everything you need to know about why our politics is broken. It’s a two-fer.

The hit ad on Ted Cruz featured on the most recent John Oliver broadcast making fun of Cruz’ tag line of Texas Tough. Pretty hilarious

Not that this is the question, but I hardly see any political ads at all. I don’t have Cable and watch all my television through Netflix, Hulu, etc. At most, I might see a Pritzker or Rauner ad on Hulu, and occasionally I’ll see internet ads but nothing I don’t skip through.

Mendoza’s soccer ad. It looks as if it were directed by Salvador Dali.

Whenever I see Juliana Stratton in an ad I’m reminded of what a great pick she was by JB
Comment by Grand Avenue Tuesday, Oct 16, 18 @ 1:52 pm
The Democrat governor association adv in the primary called Jeanne Ives too conservative due to her opposition to SB 40. This adv separated the base from the Party Rauner leased and made him a lame duck.

Anti Londrigan Hat ad. Different kind of ad
Comment by Anonymous Tuesday, Oct 16, 18 @ 2:02 pm
The Rodney Davis oppo ad comparing him to drug side effects was hilarious.
Comment by Lucky than Good Tuesday, Oct 16, 18 @ 2:27 pm
The DGA spot for Ives in the primary.
“Republicans, don’t vote for this smiling lady who supports Trump and hits all your hot-button issues — she’s way too conservative.”
Surprisingly clever and effective for a DC crew. Almost did the trick.

Betsy calling Rodney a liar over pre-existing conditions (votes for flat-out repeal with no “replace” including budget votes).

The Arizona Congressional ad where 5 siblings says they would never vote for their brother and they whole heartedly support his opponent. Talk about hurting someone.

Illinois: Mendoza soccer ad
Out of State: Concur with Boones and Benniefly on the hilarious anti-Ted Cruz ads.
The Londrigan “side effects” is clever, but the kids needed to come out of there.
