This tells me Republicans are gonna have a really hard time in this state as long as Trump looms over everything.
The question is how long the stench lasts.
Is this a blip or was Rauner simply the Schwarzenegger fluke in the IL GOP’s version of the Cali GOP death spiral?

The blue wave in the suburbs means a long spell in the desert for the GOP. No party can lose both the City and the ‘burbs and win.

LOL
In Texas, Mr. Spock is clean shaven, and in Illinois, he has a goatee.
Beam me up Scottie, there’s no future here.

When the GOP (Rauner leading the charge) went full on Proft it signaled their death in the burbs. The far right and the far left don’t stand a chance in suburbia. If you think Pritzker’s stands are too far left, you might check your own compass

Not too much surprising me of these that you posted Rich, not in a blue state like IL. The “Sex, party with leaners” table was interesting. Rauner got more Republican/Independent women than Men. Shows what I know, because I expected men to be more conservative.
Also, in the “Ideology” table, a bigger percentage of Very Liberal voters voted for Rauner than Somewhat Liberal (21% vs 11%), which I don’t understand at all.
Pritzker got the Catholic and Other Christian vote, which surprises me. I would have flipped Catholic and Protestant. I don’t really get how you vote for JB if you’re mad at Rauner over HB40 or lying to the Cardinal, but OK.

===if you’re mad at Rauner over HB40 or lying to the Cardinal====
The signing of HB40 was bad enough, but lying before you do it… that coulda made a big difference to vote JB to retire Rauner for good.
Some said… a Dem would’ve signed it too…
… but would they have lied to a Cardinal before doing it?
Dunno. But Rauner did.

I’m left with the question “how do any GOPers get elected?”
Comment by El Conquistador Thursday, Nov 8, 18 @ 1:21 pm
The Democratic party has taken a step back since the Obama’s provided such a shining example of how to focus on ideas and lead in a inclusive way that is always dignified.
The Democratic party would have to take a few dozen more steps back to catch down to the current GOP, whose platform seems to have become “tax cuts for rich and trigger libs”

“whose platform seems to have become “tax cuts for rich and trigger libs” You forgot “Blame Madigan” and fearmongering.

apparently Fox news is now credible for Cap Fax readers

@anonymous, Rich posted the methodology link, and it seems legit to me. Also said that Fox did it with the AP.

Fox polling operation is well done. It has a small house effect which you can read about on 538, but nothing out of the ordinary.

==whose platform seems to have become “tax cuts for rich and trigger libs”==
You also forgot “be afraid of brown people” and “win at any cost.”

Yay. Still playing the victim. Exactly how much longer is that going to last now that the election is over?

“Lucky Pierre”
When does the new programming kick in?
Raunerism got walloped on Tuesday.
It was in all the papers.
If you’re not going to help now, when will you?
