I would say that the infrastructure bill allows us to invest in things that will save people money in the long run.
For example … when you drive to work and you hit all those potholes and then you get a flat tire, that costs you money. When you drive to work and you hit the potholes and now you need to go out and get your steering realigned and you have to get your car fixed because of it, that costs you money.
When the rail system, when our mass transit system isn’t operating properly and you can’t get to work, that costs you money.

Mr. Wilson, when you misspell “Pritzker” 3 times in your flyer: 1) you can’t claim a typo, you just have to admit you don’t know the name of the governor you are admonishing, and 2) if you don’t know his name why am I supposed to trust your analysis of his policies?

There will be a lot of pressure on the capital bill funding to deliver visibly improved infrastructure to Illinois residents given the increase in taxes and fees. Illinois doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to these large scale spending plans, so hopefully Pritzker and co learn from the mistakes of the past.
