It’s likely buried somewhere on the ScribbleLive feed, but in Springfield Ward 2, it looks like 1/3 of a vote can make a difference!

This was the aldermanic race (in Herman Senor’s seat, but he finished third) where Shawn Gregory was leading Gail Simpson by 1 vote after the Election night tallies were counted. Then the recount showed Simpson up by 1–then the hearing officer yesterday determined that Simpson was up by 2 after 13 votes were thrown out.
Wow.

Forgot to add that the hearing officer in his decision yesterday, declared Simpson the Ward 2 winner basically by about 1/3 vote after all the recounts and thrown out ballots.
