I guess it’s better than “Soy Boy”

With its roots deepening in the Chicago economy, Google on Thursday officially opened its second office in the city’s Fulton Market area and announced a partnership with City Hall to bring digital skills to neighborhood-based businesses.

The company hosted Gov. J.B. Pritzker for its celebration. A leading funder of tech companies before getting elected, Pritzker offered a unique endorsement of the tech giant. “I’d like heretofore to be known as Gov. Google,” he said.

Dunno if the brand “Google” is the best thingy to embrace today?

I’m also not worth multiple billions, so I better leave the branding to the Guv and folks like Diana Rauner, the brand aficionado.

“Soy Boy” is an incel/alt-right insult term, actually. Nobody told Quinn that before he read that moniker from some commenter and ran with it. Without going into detail, it is an insinuation that a person is effeminate and not “manly”, due to ingesting female hormones concentrated in soy milk. I didn’t say it had to make sense, but there you go.

I’d be careful with this headline, Rich. “Soy boy” is a term used by the alt-right to disparage left-leaning men, because they believe all the soy milk being drank is turning them into biological females.
