* Daily Herald…
Federal investigators are looking into the actions of Bloomingdale Township Highway Commissioner Robert Czernek, township officials confirmed Tuesday, but they remained mum about exactly what the probe entails.
Township Supervisor Michael Hovde issued a one-sentence statement saying, “The township supervisor’s office is fully cooperating with the investigation into the road district commissioner and due to the nature and stage of the investigation, no further information can be released at this time.”
Hovde would not say if federal authorities were in any township offices on Tuesday. He said officials plan to say more Wednesday.
The FBI told ABC 7 it conducted court-authorized law enforcement activities in the Bloomingdale area, but was not specific.
I’ll let you know if there are any updates.

I am a bit surprised. I’ve seen a lot of blunders in the townships in DuPage County, but usually it’s because they don’t know they are doing something inconsistent with some fine print in a law, rule or regulation. (Incompetence) One time a township supervisor gave out the personnel files of employees because a reporter told him he had to because the FOIA required it. (Those type of files are exempted.) They just don’t know what they are doing.

===Township===
===(Incompetence) ===
My favorite thing about Williamson County is that they enacted township governments and then the great depression hit and they did away with township governments to prevent the unnecessary expense of that level of government.
Given that it occurred around the same time frame as when the populace of Williamson County was murdering folks for public entertainment with no accountability and desecrating corpses for public entertainment, it’s a real surprise to see that action.
We should get rid of every township government if, and only if, the only reason is to prevent excessive and unnecessary violations of the law by so many public officials.

@FakeGrantWehrli - upon hearing about this investigation in DuPage County, Bloomingdale Township, I call on Auditor Mautino to resign #PartisanPandering #OneTrickPony

Can’t imagine the big federal crime here. No red light cameras not much of anything. Maybe some self dealing and relatives hired but that basically is what townships do

What if this is where it was all leading? What if Bloomingdale Township Highway Commissioner Robert Czernek IS the prize? Do we know for sure he is not Himself?

-No red light cameras-
Maybe asphalt as a common thread, if there is one?

Looks like 9 Red Light Cameras in Bloomingdale Township

Now as OW would say - Let’s Keep Up on what we know
Senator Tom Cullerton is under indictment by the feds for ghost pay rolling
Tom Cullerton went to bat with Sandoval to get the red light camera in Oakbrook Terrace
The Mayor of Oakbrook Terrace just resigned after the Feds seized $60K from his home
Tom Cullerton also represents Bloomingdale Township and Tom is close to Bob, just as he is close to Tony
- interesting to watch where these investigations go -

According to Herald township does not use red light cameras
Some towns in Bloomingdale Township including town of Bloomingdale Roselle and Hanover Park may and some of those towns are also in Cook County
