It’s a nice sunny day here in Chicago. The magnolia trees in front of my building seem to have survived last week’s snow, and are blooming.

The cats are going nuts because a couple of doves (yes, doves, not pigeons) have decided that a window ledge would be a great place to hang out. Every time they coo, the cats make a mad dash to the window to try to get at them. Ain’t happening, boys.

Recovering from a broken ankle. Beautiful day here as Amalia says. Attempting to walk on it now that it’s been 8 weeks. Gotta get outside and enjoy the fresh air. Have a great day everyone.

Seeing more and more people use our local cemetery for walking, running and biking. Even dog walking though it’s technically prohibited.

We live near-ish to Rosehill Cemetery in Chicago and had been using it as a secret spot to jog or take the kids bike riding. Then they closed the gates about a week or so ago.

Madison County politics has a couple of story lines from the last two years coming to a head this month. A county board member accused of stalking Glenn Poshard’s daughter, and the local GOP spying on County emails of other elected officials.
