  27. What Lake County Democrat said about the mask mandates.

    The messaging on this point is still off. The CDC leaders talk about always wearing a mask outside your home. When the Governor says it’s ok to not wear one if you can socially distance, people think “Oh, I can socially distance most of the time,” so they don’t wear it, or wear it under their chin. That’s not good enough in any urban area or suburban downtown or shopping area. In fact, I just saw people walking into a post office in suburban Chicago without a mask on.

    The message needs to be “Wear a mask outside your home”, at least in any urban or suburban area. And there should be fines specified — and at least some enforcement.

  31. When the stay at home order first was instituted we saw numerous PSAs about staying home. Will Illinois be doing the same thing with mask wearing using IL celebrities/sports figures? What other steps will Illinois be doing to continue to promote mask wearing and stressing the importance of wearing masks to the widest population possible?

  35. Why do you call on “advocacy journalists” at your press events? Their questions mangle the truth so badly it is hardly recognizable. As a voter I’d be better informed if you instead called on Mark Maxwell and “journalists” of his kind.

How will the state provide/redirect funds to full time working parents who are not able to support their children’s elearning, thus requiring childcare, when schools opt for an elearning/hybrid plan? Up to 70% of line items in school budgets are no longer applicable with remote plans, so can those funds be redirected to working parents?

  41. Illinois boasts over 2 million tests now, but it was discovered in Rhode Island that as many as 1/4 of tests were duplicates, people such as health care workers being retested.

    How many living Illinoisans have actually been tested?
