* This looks too perfect to pass up…
* Check out the description…
From the company that brought you the critically acclaimed holiday spectacular Requiem for a Department Store, or how Jesus taught me to shop at Macy’s, comes the latest in holiday satire!
Santa and the Mrs are on the outs, the Vick brothers are up to no good, Grandma won’t stop singing and to top it all off it takes forty five minutes to go two blocks on the CTA because a certain Governor lost that holiday spirit.
More here.
Tickets are only ten bucks a head, so I’m thinking this should be our Capitol Fax and The Capitol Fax Blog holiday party.
* Question: If we chose Sunday, December 16th, could you - and would you - attend? The show is at seven o’clock. Gorilla Tango Theater is at the corner of Western and Milwaukee.

No. This whole fiasco has made me sick enough, particularly the Speakers refusal to listen to the entire general assembly regarding a capital bill connected with the rta bai9lout. why would i want to waste my time watching some amateurs spoof something we suffer through each day?

Probably not, secondary to baby sitter issues.
However, if Rich was to have the “Illinois Pledge” t-shirts printed soon, I would be happy to show my Christmas spirt by purchasing a couple. One additional note: It would be helpful if the on-line order form for the CapFax stuff could include a line for an additional donation to Sojourn.

I’ve just been too busy to produce those t-shirts. I’ll try to get on it next week.

ironically I know most of the performers from college. they put on a funny show. it runs several weekends in a row, so i would suggest you guys check it out. i have an email out to one of the guys about exactly how much of the show deals with the political stuff.
i would consider driving up from the QC to support my college friends and hang with some bloggers.

I saw a flier for that yesterday. I’m planning on going, but unfortunately won’t be able to join in on the fun on the 16th.

maybe…haven’t been to gorilla tango yet, and i’ve heard they’re good…and its only a few blocks from me.
FYI, from what I understand, Gorilla Tango’s BYOB. But there’s a liquor store on the opposite corner from McDonald’s (just northwest of GT theater)

what? And lose my anonymity?
Sounds like fun, but I don’t want to sully your reputation Rich by having you seen with me.
“huh huh, I said sully”
Comment by beavis Friday, Nov 30, 07 @ 10:48 am
if Gorilla Tango’s is BYOB, I am there.
Comment by Ravenswood Right Winger Friday, Nov 30, 07 @ 10:48 am
BYOB? Nice… Old Milwaukee Light anyone?
Comment by Kiyoshi Martinez Friday, Nov 30, 07 @ 10:54 am
What is this political theater? Or does this trouple engage in live action satire?

Rich,
Will there be a Springtucky version of the Christmas party? Or we just going to substitute the upcoming special sessions?
2 Brothers was fun last year.
Comment by Nick Naylor Friday, Nov 30, 07 @ 11:01 am
I think it’s byob…you’ll want to double check.
and buy your tickets in advance. i had some coworkers go to a show there(unfortunately, i couldn’t go), and they said it was byob, and they had to buy way in advance.

Since last year’s party was in Springfield we’re gonna alternate.

Hell yeah!
I might buy a block of tickets and hand them out for free. What could be more in the spirit of Christmas?
