Within the past 24 hours, laboratories have reported 52,311 specimens for a total of 4,863,138. As of last night, 1,565 people in Illinois were reported to be in the hospital with COVID-19. Information is constantly being entered into an electronic system and the number of cases and deaths can change as additional information is gathered. JB just said that Region 7 (which just dropped to 6.4% 7-day average) will have mitigation lifted in 3-4 days if the trend continues. The original mitigation plan stated the region would need to stay under 6.5 for 2 weeks.

@Stu: Kankakee County is basically in open revolt. Most independent restaurants and many bars here are largely ignoring the rules, in my opinion because I think they know the heath department and local municipalities seem to be or actually are ignoring or slow-enforcing complaints.

@Dirt Lawyer: City of Kankakee seems to be trying to enforce the rules, just passed a resolution last night to use city police to assess fines. Bradley? Not so much…
