Rep. Sean Casten released his third TV ad of the cycle today. This ad follows Rep. Casten’s first two TV spots “Molecular” and “Grade” and is part of the $2.4 million ad buy previously announced by the campaign.
Campaign spokesman Jacob Vurpillat released the following statement:
“Since the pandemic started, Jeanne Ives has shown an irresponsible commitment to spreading COVID. She’s falsely stated that children cannot contract COVID. She continuously attends in-person, indoor events and doesn’t wear a mask. Rep. Casten believes in following science and facts. Jeanne Ives believes in following the President.”

Took a drive through Wheaton yesterday. Casten signs more prevalent at about a 3 to 2 ratio compared to signs for Ives.
Lots of signs for judges and county races. Interestingly, I saw just 2 signs for Biden and zero for Trump.

Purely anecdotal but I’ve noticed that the Trump signs that would regularly appear next to those of other Republican candidates are disappearing. I’m also seeing a lack of party affiliation on mailings that I’m getting from Republican candidates.

Casten? Yeah, A. I would be curious to see if Democrats in contested House seats across the country are releasing ads similar to Casten’s. (Similar, not identical: Ives has a particular gift for providing suitable quotes.) This issue is subsuming all others as voters begin going to the polls.
