* Federal Eyes on Suburban Elections
The number of naturalized citizens in suburbs ringing Chicago is growing fast. But some still face barriers when they try to vote. In a lawsuit last fall, the U.S. Department of Justice charged that Kane County had violated parts of the federal Voting Rights Act. County officials quickly agreed to remedy the situation. And the first big test of whether Kane County is living up to the agreement is February 5. That’s when the Latino vote might make the difference in several hotly contested primaries.

Kane voting
Now, to become naturalized you need to pass an English test. So if they passed, why do they need bi lingual judges? Esp when the ballot is translated?

The Trib endorsed Aaron Strangelove?
Do they put any thought into these endorsements whatsoever?
And I call Bull****!!! on Daley.

The Tribune has been becoming more liberal within the past six years. If they endorse Sauerberg, the majority of Republicans should know that Sauerberg isn’t conservative, causing them to vote for Mike Psak, the only conservative in that race. He was endorsed by the Illinois Center Right Coalition, the Illinois Federation for Right to Life, National Taxpayers United of Illinois, and the Berwyn Township Republican Organization. His petition was signed by voters who live in 96 counties. His website is www.psak4ussenate.com.

oh, don’t worry, Obama will pick a staffer
who with a reputation for fixing the drug problem, not that he’ll check much whether the work gets
done. he’ll be busy telling us how much
vision he has on the issue.
Axelrod’s comment that the run is
for president not chief of staff was silly.
Hands on, needed for Katrina, our country
under attack, the economy (stupid).
we all hit Bush for his inability to ask
tough questions and take detailed action.
Ben B. said today the financial situation
is fragile. I want someone who is hands on,
and that is Hillary.

The Berwyn Township Republican Organization? Is that the same org as the Berwyn Township Regular Republican Organization? And the last Republican they got elected was? In Berwyn, proper, the Independent Voters of Berwyn (kind of a rival Dem group) outpolls the GOP! What about the heavy hitters of GOPdom like Naperville and Wheaton?

New Rasmussen poll has Obama 44% to Clinton 31% in S Carolina. Tey also have an interesting Poll which shows Clint beat Romney 47% to 41% nationaly, But Obama beats Romeny 49% to 37%. So obama is gaining ground nationaly as the more electable canidate.
