* Ain’t nothing easy these days…
Senators are meeting in hybrid committees. While most are here in-person, they’re also logged on to iPads using Zoom to hear witness testimony. Kind of awkward as some members speak to each other audibly in the room but forgot to “unmute” their Zoom microphones. pic.twitter.com/AKtLrMsQpe

Keep it Illinois-centric and polite, please. Thanks.

What, no excitement for Andy Dalton?

It isn’t a successful Zoom meeting until you hear a dog barking or baby crying in the background.

Bears are paying Dalton 10 million to stand behind one of the most porous offensive lines in football. I hope he has a good doctor.

Looks like the Bears are on their way to failure yet again. A comparison of stats run on Stathead.com doesn’t seem to sell Dalton very well vs. Mitch, despite Daltons much longer career.
62.2 v. 64.0 completion %; 126 Ints v. 37; QB Rating 87.5 v. 87.2.
Pluses: 218 v. 64 TD’s; 1335 v. 1057 rushing yards. But the Bears needed way better…*sigh*

Doesn’t look like much luck of the Irish from the McCaskeys for the Bears because of the Andy Dalton deal.

So very Bears….
They traded away a 4th round pick last year to get Nick Foles so they could go ahead and sign Andy Dalton this year, instead of just signing Dalton last year and saving the pick.

First,
Rich, thank you so much for the “Open Thread” where so many Illinois musicians and musical acts that are “Illinois”
That was a great deal of fun and informative for me.
(Sigh)
Chicago, generally has terrible sports teams owners.
The McCaskeys are always striving to be the worst of the worst, and rarely disappoint.
The “two people doing one zoom in one location and the tech to it”… is the worst.
After a year, the patience to these technical badness is beyond waning.

Today being St. Patrick’s Day might be a good day to go green and jump on the Packer bandwagon.

“jump on the Packer bandwagon”
After a certain amount of time a fan has to admit they are being suckered and appreciate a well-run, successful operation.

Ah Zoom, it’s either a speaker saying can everyone else mute their microphones or of course the inevitable, you’re on mute.
