* Via the Progressive Grocer, here’s a recent Numerator online survey…
Consumers who don’t plan to get the vaccine were twice as likely to say that they’re ready to celebrate holidays on a larger scale, and 57% said that they’re ready to celebrate holidays normally. In contrast, fully vaccinated consumers are the most cautious group, with 36% saying that they’ll ease back into normal celebrations, and 16% planning to stick to small-scale celebrations for the foreseeable future, even after restrictions are lifted.

4th of July, only with small family. No plans for indoor dining yet. Both fully vaccinated.

My family and I are now fully vaccinated, but probably won’t do anything large until Thanksgiving or Christmas. My son is immunocompromised and I’d like to see if the vaccine produces a helpful level of antibodies for him before we starting having any large scale celebrations.

$th here too, but just with immediate family who are all vaccinated. No big crowds (which I already started to stay away from the last four or five years) anytime in the foreseeable future.

Seeing as Memorial Day & Fathers Day are already typically small for us, 4th of July. We’ve got a larger-scale family celebration we are planning on attending later in the summer.

vaccinated. 4th of July will be close to normal with friends and family, but hitting the concert scene…hoping for summer fun…. I will be masked.

Memorial Day. Household is all fully vaccinated and half of it is back traveling for work.
But half the family tree was back to normal by last summer. I just avoided large indoor events with them (but I was usually avoiding larger family events way before Covid tbh).

Vaccinated.
Maybe 4th of July depending on a lot of specifics. Other family functions will be attended with a lot of trepidation as extended family members have refused vaccines due to handful of conspiracy theories and some family members are likely to make a show of ignoring any effort to meet safely.
Normal won’t be back until after 2022.

Easter was the first holiday missed in 2020 and the first one that was back to normal in 2021. My parents were fully vaccinated at that point, as were all my siblings (except me, I had my first shot a week and a half before). It has been pretty much been 2019 business as usual since then (but with masks on in public, of course).

Cinco de Mayo. At home. Small invited group all adult. Fully vaccinated. No one who was invited declined. Started out on the deck and moved inside to eat as temp cooled. It was wonderful.

We’ve already been having some family get togethers, as we are lucky enough to have everyone of age vaccinated. If I had to peg it to a holiday, I suppose it would be Memorial Day, but that’s generally pretty low-key.
It will take (quite?) a bit longer to feel comfortable eating and drinking among strangers indoors. Family/friend gatherings where I know others’ status is much higher on my list of acceptable risk than visiting restaurants.

4th of July, mainly because we can be ‘normal’ outside. We’ll keep it small though (no fireworks shows) for the foreseeable future. Whole family is fully vaccinated.

I have been fully vaccinated for a while and celebrated Mother’s Day with fully vaccinated family members and household members who very recently got their second shots. Went to restaurants in the last few weeks and followed guidelines. According to studies so far, the vaccines offer very good protection.
But there’s no way I’m going into crowds and indoor settings with mass gatherings where restrictions are not followed.

Fully vaccinated. I expect Christmas to be normal (kids coming home on airplanes, shopping in stores — with masks - and getting together with friends in small to medium indoor groups.) We’ll see

I’ll be two shots plus two weeks tomorrow, but my answer is maybe never.
My family has 1) young children who cannot be vaccinated, and 2) people who’s doctors say they cannot be safely vaccinated.
So barring some big change, either continuing to do what were doing now is our new normal or we’ll never be normal again.

4th of July but it will be a little smaller than normal. We’re vaccinated but both of our kids are under 12 and not eligible for the vaccines. Given the entire lack of understanding of how this operates in children and what, if any, lasting effects might be, I’m just not willing to jeopardize my kids’ long-term health so we can have a party. It will be families we’ve podded with mostly.
Normal doesn’t come for us until the kids are protected too

The whole family is fully vaccinated, and the 4th will be the first “normal” holiday. Most activities will be outdoors. Memorial Day is never a big deal in my family because the weather is so unpredictable.

July 4, but it will be family only (3 generations, under 20 people), almost entirely outside, and fireworks will be watched from a boat. I’m fully vaccinated.

Mother’s Day - but just immediate family: both of us plus sons & daughters-in-law. The 6 of us (minus the babies) are fully vaccinated.

Memorial day, not vaccinated, Wife is, son and daughter in law both have had it.
we are largely back to normal and plan on getting together with friends and family some vaxed some not.

My family got together for Mother’s Day. Everyone there is fully vaccinated except for the grandkids, but felt safe enough since all adults are vaxxed. First time in a year. Felt great.

Fully vaccinated. Attending a wedding in the city next weekend. Required to submit proof of both vaccines, although it’s only as good as the paper it’s printed on. Already had Covid so I’m full of the antibodies. I just hope others are honest about it.

Won’t be eating inside a restaurant until winter at the earliest and will probably never go to a large concert or sporting event again. Not interested in being around strangers any more than is necessary.

Will be fully vaccinated in the whole family by July 4, so celebrations will be normal with small family group. Doubtful for anything more like concerts or travel until we see how things are going, maybe fall.

Can’t see returning to normal until next year.
Hoping for a 4th of July dock “party” of maybe one other fully vaccinated couple……….which I do not consider even close to normal. Waiting for all the shoes to drop.

4th of July. Already have travel plans for an extended visit with family in Omaha and barbecues, fireworks, dining and several family birthday parties. School will be out, my wife and I are vaccinated and the kids won’t have to miss school due to a trip to a (COVID) red state.
We’ve been playing it safe because of our school situation, but once summer break begins, we’re ready to get back to normal for a couple of months. Travel, pool time, camp for the kids, lake trip to MN, lots of things we’ve put off for a year. Looking forward to it.

It is not a holiday, but Super Bowl Sunday we were with a large group None of us were vaccinated at the time, so I wasn’t thrilled with the idea.
Going forward, I’m not limiting behavior at all related to Covid other than wearing a mask when required.
I’m fully vaccinated. My wife is not, but I’m trying to get her to do so ASAP.

Vaccinated. Mother’s Day was normal in that I ate dinner with my mom. The next hurdle is large gathering indoors. I am hopeful that will come soon, but folks do need to get vaccinated more for that to happen.

We will be having the annual black raspberry picking and ice cream making party for the grandkids. Somewhere around the 4th of July. All vaccinated and ready to go.

Just this past weekend I was talking to a friend who has a parent that has cancer. The friend is vaccinated.
For the safety of the parent, they are still very leery and cautious.
Your lack of compassion for others is compelling.

Vacation scheduled for July. As of yesterday, the entire family is vaxxed up. Need some away time as we had no vacation last year. Travel is good for the soul.

I was vaccinated in February & second shot in march.
Mom got both shots in April.
One of my brothers has his first shot.
Got together for my birthday with Mom, two brothers, one sister, and most of their families. Total of 11 people.
Expect to do the same for Memorial Day and 4th of July.
