I was told that Democrats need to crossover and vote for the craziest Republican in the Republican primary. This does not exactly narrow down our choices. Just sayin…

Public Servant
After 2016 I’m not sure voting for your opponents most idiotic candidate in the thought he/she can’t win is a sound strategy. The Idiot might win. Just saying.

What is a week-end?

@ GOP Rebuilder: Hinz’s map is just Dave Wasserman’s map lol. It’s not legitimately being “shopped around” by “key” people as he said. It’s just an example 14D-3R map. But Hinz reported it as an “exclusive” on the new map.

So the state is open for business. Most people are back at work. Many never stopped working. Mask mandates are being removed from businesses. But not State Employees…
When will JB say time to go back to work?

All Secretary of State employees have been back to work, in office, since last June 1st. Nearly a year ago and immediately after stay at home orders ended. Also looks very busy and most others seem to be back to work in office elsewhere in the Complex.

Why doesn’t Cheri Bustos run for Secretary of State? She is a downstater and I think appeals to both republicans and democrats.

I work for the state and I’ve been working non stop from home since this all began. I am just as effective remote as I am in the office and so is my team. After working remotely for a year, there is nothing we can’t accomplish from home that we could in the office. The magic of modern technology and all.

Amen IT Data Guy. My agency has also been more productive in measurable metrics. I know we are going to have to go back sometime (as least part time in the office) but with the move out of the JRTC my agency is in no rush. Those of us that have shown the maturity to get work done from home should be allowed to keep doing so on at least a part-time basis.

Yesterday was the first time I’ve seen a walk-off run scored on a wild pitch. The White Sox are fun this year.

I’m starting to have visions of a Cardinals/White Sox World Series.

If that map happens, it looks like Kinzinger will be mapped out and put into a general with Underwood in the new 14th.

=== If that map happens===
Dems are gonna let “Dave Wasserman” draw their map(s)
He won’t.

Actually the “Wasserman map” (more accurately the “Hinz map”) is actually a bit different than what Wasserman had originally postulated back in March. Basically it had the new 15th go from basically Grayville to Forreston. Although the “16th” he presented in March stayed similar except going from Stark/Marshall counties down to near Alton (except for parts of Peoria city, and Peoria and Knox counties still in the 17th):
