* Will County Health Department…
Dykota Morgan, a 15 year old from Bolingbrook, IL, was tragically taken from her parents and family within 72 hours of exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms. She contracted COVID-19 and passed away one week before the vaccine was approved for use in children ages 12-17. Listen to her parents, Krystal and Rashad tell her story and why it is so important to them to ensure children get vaccinated.
* This public service ad is now running on cable TV in the county. Watch it…

Wow. Very powerful. I hope the message gets through. 😢

This ad should be shown statewide or even nationwide.

Tragic, and a powerful message. Unfortunately, there are still too many people who think that it won’t happen to them / their kids…

I hope this can be broadcast outside of the county to get this very important message out there for all parents.

Just WOW!!! My heart hurts for those parents. I hope their message as strong as it is gets into the hearts of other parents to do the right thing. COVID has proven not to be just for the old and unhealthy.

Heartbreaking and effective.

That’s so raw and honest, it’s well done and powerfully heartbreaking as well.
I needed a beat after watching it.

Gut-wrenching. Grieving parents speaking in a way that should resonate with anyone who watches it.
We owe a debt of gratitude to the Morgans for their bravery and selflessness.
Kudos to the Will County Health Department for producing such a powerful spot.

Wow, watched much of it but had to stop watching. If this doesn’t bring tears to eyes we must have a hole in our soul.
So many selfish people out there who won’t get vaccinated and follow COVID mitigation requirements. Me, me, me, me, me.

Horribly tragic. And that is why, for me, we won’t be back to a semblance of normal until my under-12 crowd can get the shot. Vaccine passports are required at this house.

Heart-breaking. I’ve heard all the excuses, but I still cannot understand why any parent would risk their children’s lives.

This is the same health department which green-lit an indoor pizza buffet last december in the middle of the largest spike of deaths.
I hope the death of every single person since december, including this young lady, weighs heavily on the conscience of the health department administration who wasn’t taking this seriously, and still isn’t.
Our health department has chosen to spend thousands of dollars with a PR agency to smooth out the string of disasters they have been responsible for, instead of actually hiring people to staff vaccine centers.
Sorry, but I’m not falling for this PR stunt designed to distract from the failures of this department.

If this doesn’t motivate all folks to vaccinate themselves and their children, I’m afraid that nothing will. God bless her.
