Bears in Central Illinois, armadilloes as far north as Carbondale, at least.
Exciting time to live in the hinterlands.

Interesting paper from the Paul Simon institute about where tax dollars actually go in Illinois.
Won’t be believed by most residents down here, but educational.

==Bears in Central Illinois,==
When I saw your reply I actually thought for a minute that the Bears had just announced they were forgoing both Soldier Field and Arlington Park, and instead returning home to Decatur.

Yesterday, Danny Parkins on 670theScore raised $636,000+ to benefit Athletes for Justice and the Austin Harvest food mart in the Austin neighborhood of Chicago. #Stick2Sports

Is there a new one? I have the paper from 2018, but would be interested to see an updated version if one is available.

Bears in Central Illinois, armadilloes as far “north as Carbondale, at least.” And don’t forget about the wild boars too.

The only thing Illinois centric about this is that it will eventually affect all our computers (including the day that we will have no choice but to upgrade), but Microsoft is finally introducing Windows 11. Which will become available later this year.

Regarding yesterday’s Twitter is not real life, if Twitter’s active tweeters were a congressional district, it would be America’s 2nd most D+ district
