Breakthrough Covid cases among the vaccinated are becoming more frequent, it seems. I’m hoping the CDC recommends a booster sooner than 8 months. My question, however, is when will the formerly fully vaccinated, not be considered so, if they don’t get the booster? Finally, when will they release a tweaked covid vaccine that more directly targets the Delta variant?

As I type this, Rep. Butler is on with Greg Bishop / WMAY, and was prattling on about the Redistricting Commission. Why is it this is the only place the history is discussed, that of the 3 10 year maps drawn by past Commissions, all were drawn after a name was pulled out of a hat. This would provide the GOP with a luck of the draw 50 / 50 shot at total control of redistricting. Bueller? Bueller?

Great and expected news: FDA approved the Pfizer vaccine. This should further open the door to vaccine mandates.

COVID-19 deniers are on my mind. The month a head is really going to hit Illinois differently based off region.

Has anyone heard any more about state employees going back to work? CMS sent an email saying fully back the Tuesday after Labor Day. I’ve heard the unions are still negotiating.

Full time work in the office pushed back to December at the work place. It started out being set for 6/1 this year.
Everyone has been going in 2 or 3 days a week and that is still the goal.
So many places have permanently closed down that I’m just glad the place and it’s associates survived this pandemic.

There’s a deeply disturbing article in the Trib this morning about people who should know better coaching parents on how to get around mask mandates. Doctors, a school superintendent in Oregon, the *attorney general* of Louisiana, among others. It’s disgusting.

As I’ve said many times, Secretary of State has been back 100% in office since June 1, 2020. And it seems like most of the Capitol Complex parking lots are full so it seems like most complex employees are back. And recently I’ve gone past the Harris and Bloom buildings in Springfield so it looks like DHS is mostly back.
Which agencies seem to still have most employees working from home?
