Guessin’ some on Dearborn are head scratching today as new ComEd bailout hides behind a huge spread of ratepayer bucks for renewables, labor, equity, coa0 and who knows who else. The 2045 date sound a little like a pension ramp === could be a sliding deadline? The carbon free ideas are great. but does not seem very realistic when no segment of the energy world seems capable of paying its own way. BTW guessing ComEd is doing handstands over the prospects of being “regulated” by the ICC. Talk about good old days

Now that football season is over for the Illini and Bears do the Illini get back to the Big Dance and the Bulls make a run at the playoffs?

Bears have to play both Ravens and Raiders this year.
Going to be long season.
Thank god for Sox

Amalia,
I’ll have to admit I feel a little bad if my waves encouraged her to be involved in a dangerous lifestyle. I just waved because she seemed so happy (this was in her Bernie phase) and there is not a lot to look at on the Kennedy.

The Illinois Commerce Commission is about to live stream their annual supplier diversity policy workshop. Best example of how the state partners with private industry to collaboratively increase investment in businesses from communities that need it most. A fantastic anti-poverty program. Worth checking out (and we should replicate it with other industries as well — ICC does a great job with it): https://www.icc.illinois.gov/meetings/meeting/policy-session/21427

Eagle fishing out of the dead tree at the south end of the pond. Glorious sight.

Flea-Nothing like seeing a bald eagle in nature.
I’ve had a couple perch on our pond. Man, they’re huge.

@ Cermak_rd. well, her Bernie phase went well into the fall of 2016 so I don’t know why anyone would encourage that. look up her on video. she is a true example of someone who sounds smartish but is really a goof. A Bernie supporter once commented in a NY Times thread that 20% of them went to Trump. and so it goes.

IL State Board of Education has an interesting meeting today that should garner some attention…

I’m late to it, but this story has so many things I love about Illinois–agriculture, innovation, the community college system. With investment in infrastructure, including education, we continue to have an incredible amount of potential.
