Learning more and more about him, so impressive and what an incredible person.
My sincere condolences to his family and friends, and to all who were lucky to have known or met him.

The generation that fought for so long to obtain the most basic of rights is leaving us.
Their legacy has to be preserved. You only have to look back at the last five years to see just how fragile our Democracy is and how easily the lessons, hard work and at times blood, of those that won those rights can be forgotten.
RIP Mr. Black may we never forget you.

Over the past 20 years I had the honor of serving with Tim Black at Americans for Democratic Action Nationally. It was always a thrill to work with him and have him share his experiences and perspective. His love of the movement will be missed and felt for years.

Class guy, and involved in so many pivotal moments of the Movement. Pre-dates Jesse Jackson’s involvement by two decades. I guess Jesse is among the last standing now.
