Hi Rich, I’ve noticed a significant lag bringing up CapFax. Have you noticed that too?

Supposed to be a nice day. Going to spend it in the garage working on the toys.

Good article re: monopolistic meat prices:

Most wholesale prices are up a bit, but nowhere near the rise in retail prices:

Two very sad anniversaries today from recent years.
9 years ago today (12/14/2012) was the Sandy Hook massacre.
And the last time Dec. 14th fell on a Tuesday–Dec. 14, 2010–was the morning that then- Springfield Mayor Tim Davlin committed suicide at his home.
Both shocking and surreal days.

Kroger Co. is eliminating paid COVID sick leave and other bennies for unvaccinated employees. Kroger’s biggest Illinois market is in the Peoria area.

Interestingly, what Kroger is taking away is less than what the State offers (at least in my office) for vaccinated and boosted employees that get COVID. I’ve never contracted COVID, and I’m boosted since early October, but at my state agency if anyone gets COVID they have to use their own time–no extra sick leave at all.

On a more positive note, the Clash released London Calling on this date in 1979.
