* A-1 contribution disclosure reports filed in the past few days show that Gov. JB Pritzker’s campaign committee has given $1.5 million to the Democratic Party of Illinois, $1 million to the Senate Democrats’ ISDF, and $3 million to the Democrats for the Illinois House.
Fairly sure there’s more to come.

When Dem billionaires self finance= good. When R’s billionaires self finance= bad. The Age of the Benevolent Billionaire. It’s the money… there’s another billionaire in IL whose money turned the Supreme Court to what it is today. He is more secretive about his giving. See article in pro publica. Still like billionaires in politics? It’s the money..

Bought and paid for. The Illinois Democratic Party rolls on. When the Republicans did this all we heard were complaints. When the Democrats do it? Crickets.

And who created this system and declared it constitutional under Citizens United? It wasn’t the Dems.

Meh. Rauner paid $50 million for caucuses (with an s, plural).
This kind of money is someone “loaning you a stamp to mail a birthday card” kind of money.

Where were you guys in 2018? Or 2020, when Harmon took over as Senate Prez? Or last year during the State Central Committee drama? Or a month ago, during the State Central Committee drama? Democrats are regularly distressed about a billionaire buying their party and trying to show some independence from him. It’s just that he governs the way they like enough to mollify the issue most of the time.

When Dem billionaires self finance, they do it to help the little guy,
when Righty, Conservative billionaires self finance, they do it to help themselves.

Pretty confident neither one of these political parties give a crap about the little guy.
