The feds uncovered a disturbing cache of weapons and hate literature in southern Illinois.
Federal agents and prosecutors announced Tuesday the largest seizure of machine guns in the history of Southern Illinois, and 11 people face weapons charges linked to the seized guns.Agents seized more than 50 machine guns, silencers, 128 destructive devices, 115 improvised explosive devices, gun powder, a spring-loaded booby trap, more than 100 firearms, 19 crates of ammunition and thousands of rounds of ammunition seized from a Madison County home.
They also found a Nazi flag, neo-Nazi literature and scrawled on a wall of a home three words: “Hitler was right!” […]
Several of the guns bore swastikas, as did the wooden crates holding ammunition.
The indictment also included photographs of Randal Brown holding targets which prosecutors said were made in the likeness of blackface images.
Meanwhile, the governor wrings his hands about video games.

This proves that there is a medical crisis in Southern Illinois. Even though Carbondale did get a brain surgeon recently, there’s no way one man can operate on ALL of them.
Darned trial lawyers!

Snide comments about a serious situation. Madison county is not Carbondale. Leave it to a Cook county resident to dis the rest of the state. Also, believe Madison county is one of the few “Blue” counties downstate.

And Godfrey is one of the few really, really Red townships in a Blue County.
I’m not a Cook County Resident and I grew up close enough to Godfrey that you could throw an improvised explosive.

Perhaps if we saw more of our darling governor, he would have more of an influence downstate. It’s darn hard to be a democrat down here.
And honestly, does it really matter WHERE the guy was from in the state? They caught him, he’s busted, and it could happen just as well in Cook County as Madison, or anywhere else in this state or country. Pointing fingers to the vicinity doesn’t make the situation better. Point the fingers at ourselves for not getting the message across to him clear enough, or often enough, etc. There’s as much blame there as there is to the “reds”.
