Any explanation as to why Melinda Bush retired from the Senate? Was it to give Mary Edly-Allen a seniority bump but she forgot that her replacement had to come from the old district boundaries? Just seems odd.

I enjoyed hearing my new Congresswoman-elect, Nikki Budzinski, cast her vote for Jeffries in the first ballot for Speaker this morning.
