  1. The lost institutional knowledge… mind boggling.

Term limits is as phony today as if was when a former governor tried to make it his required want.

So many new names and faces, overturn is good, but at what cost to the bodies of the House and Senate?

  2. Another argument against term limits. Elections work just fine.

  3. Fresh ideas, but then it takes a lot of spinning yarn to get a well-knit garment.

  4. How many of those were backed by Pritzker (and his money)? I think that’s important to note before pretending we live in a democratic Utopia.

  5. This is good to know. One can only hope that the old ways are fading into the past. Not sure how likely that is, but you never know…

  6. Illinois’ political reputation is so bad, the state needs this new infusion of legislators. They’ve done a great job, especially when they turned the page on former leadership.

    This ain’t Google.

Do a lil work, “get back to us”

By ALL means, take all the time you need…

  9. I’m sure elections suddenly became cheap after MJM and the billionaire governor who personally invested in the state party race had/has nothing to do with the fundraising fortunes of members who have been around for less than 5 years.

  13. I did some recent research for a client and the turnover since 2011 has been over 80% in each chamber.

  14. this would be an interesting statistic for other legislative bodies in Illinois, Chicago’s City Council is a big topic, but township governments, DuPage County Board…..

  15. Good ol’ brain drain. Though it’s not uncommon for institutional knowledge to ebb and flow. New isn’t always a bad thing, let’s see what they can do.
