Local electoral board is having a hearing today. A circuit court judge remanded a matter of due process back to it. Then the Court will rule later today whether the candidate involved will remain on the ballot. Yes — down to the wire. Wild.

It feels all “Springy” here in West Central Illinois. My farmer friends are stirring, out by the out buildings. The insurance date must be neigh.

2 hours ago we had a very large wild turkey crash onto our roof & fall onto the ground, dead. Quite the thud. We live in town. City came & picked it up & guy said he has picked up numerous dead animals, but this was 1st turkey. And yes, turkeys can fly.

Had a tree fall on my mom’s house in the tornados. Thankfully she was not physically hurt at all.
Looks like we’re getting a sequel tomorrow night, particulary the Quad Cities and western Illinois folks.

@HW =The insurance date must be neigh.=
Only the oldest of old school worry about the insurance date anymore. But it really hasn’t been fit to plant - so plenty of stirring is going on.
Rural folks take caution for the next few months - lots of slow moving vehicles on the roads at all hours of the day. And road way safety is a two way street. Caution and patience needs to be exercised by those in the big red and green tractors too.

several of the players on the Iowa women’s NCAA basketball team are from Illinois. Martin, who made a few threes, is from Edwardsville.

My home county of Crawford lost three people to the EF3 tornado Friday night. It also leveled the airport (they do have corporate jets from Hershey and Marathon), took out a former Crisp Pepsi plant which was used by the community college, and destroyed many homes before crossing the Wabash River and hit Sullivan IN hard before dissipating.

Recovering from jet lag and catching up on all the news.
I’, planning to vote early tomorrow, because apparently really bad weather is expected later in the day.

Can’t wait to see if any more major Democratic elected officials are going to fall all over themselves to endorse the Republican that’s running to be Mayor of Chicago before they miss their opportunity to endorse a Republican out of a weird sense of fealty to Richard M. Daley.

Waiting for the election people to call me so I can open the church up for them to set up 3 precincts for voting tomorrow.

Why has there historically been no push to make the Primary and Municipal election days, including tomorrow, state holidays like the General Election days are?

I pull over, slow down, and give them room. But when they hit my mailbox, they need stop or come back and make it right. I can’t move the box any farther back and still get my mail.

Loved watching the semi and finals of March Madness over the weekend (I understand the men will play today as well). As a 10 Ten fan ( family has attended 8 of the original 10) I wanted Iowa to win, but wow those girls can play. Clark is amazing but kudos to LSU for covering all the positions

@Sangamo Girl =But when they hit my mailbox, they need stop or come back and make it right.=
Absolutely - the best operators I know have a letter at the ready that is deposited near the “remains” of the mailbox and are ready to back in a day with a replacement or a check to facilitate a new one to be installed.

Going to be a long day tomorrow for any election workers.
Up at 4 AM, open building at 5 AM, etc. until clean up and close the building at 7:30 or 8:00 PM.
See you all tomorrow.
