Two locals are disagreeing over whether to support the governor’s prescription drug program.
A local grocery and drug retailers workers union has said Gov. Rod Blagojevich’s drug import program endangers the jobs of many retail pharmacy employees that the group represents.United Food and Commercial Workers Local 881’s statement on Tuesday came two days after Blagojevich said another branch of the union vowed to promote his I-SaveRx program.
Blagojevich did not distinguish between the different UFCW locals during an appearance Sunday in Chicago to unveil an outreach campaign for the program. But an official with Local 1546 was with the governor when he made the announcement.
I thought the Sunday announcement was a little weird because of the type of workers that 881 represents. Now I know why.

Wasn’t the dateline “Rosemont” on the article? Is this significant?
Does organized crime have an interest here?

Blago must be taking cues from Rep. Jack Franks on the Prescription drugs stuff. The two publicity hounds only get near an issue when they think the tv camaras are on. They should both be ashamed.
