Hot and dry in SW IL. Watching the newly emerging corn struggle. Wheat is beginning to turn. Hoping for some decent soaking rain soon.

Looks like the Kansas drought spilled over into Missouri and is now coming to IL ? Forecast says next chance for rain in Sangamon County is June 10th.

Hot (mid-80’s as of 11am), but humidity in low-50’s in 60827. Looks like Summer has arrived for the next few days. Waiting to see if ‘pop-up’ T-Storms appear; could use a little rain (not all at once in 20 minutes).
